The Edison Early Learning Center was founded by Dawn and Keith Toolan in 2007 with a vision of going beyond childcare by introducing families and their children to a great afterschool care and summer science programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in in an educational setting. When we first opened our doors, we had about twenty five little ones from ages 0-4 in our programs. With background in education, Dawn and Keith decided to bring their expertise into an early childhood facility where parents can trust professional teachers to prepare their little ones for a lifetime of learning.
At The Edison Early Learning Center, we create weekly lesson plan guides, monthly newsletters, parent/teacher conferences, family gathering events, and more, The Edison Early Learning Center aim to contribute to a successful and fun early learning experience for children and families. After years in operation, we expanded to include a private kindergarten in 2015. With the addition of this program, parents were given an option to enroll their children in a small learning environment. Continuing with our journey, The Edison Early Learning Center became certified by The Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Private Academic School that emphasizes the importance of state certified teachers, state aligned curriculum, and evaluation of the students’ progress in the program.
We are now expanding through franchising and are looking for people who are passionate about education and lifelong learning to join our growing team.
How We Support Our Franchisees
Operational Support
We will provide ongoing training and support in many areas, including unit operations, maintenance, customer-service techniques, product order, pricing guidelines and administrative procedures.
Marketing Support
We will coordinate development of advertising materials and strategies, consumer marketing plans and materials.
Ongoing Research and Development
We will provide our continued research methods and techniques to enhance unit-level profitability.
